The City of Caddo Mills will be closed Monday, 9-4-17, for Labor Day. Trash service will run on Friday, 9-8-17 as scheduled.  For after hours water or sewer emergencies, call the pager at 903-621-8748, listen for the tone and at the tone, put in your call back phone number and push the # sign. Someone will return your call. For after hours police or fire emergencies, call 911. The City wishes everyone a great Labor Day holiday.

NOTICE OF 2017 TAX YEAR PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR
                                          CITY OF CADDO MILLS
A tax rate of $0.730000 per $100 valuation has been proposed by the governing body of CITY OF CADDO MILLS. This rate exceeds the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate, and state law requires that two public hearings be held by the governing body before adopting the proposed tax rate.
The governing body of CITY OF CADDO MILLS proposes to use revenue attributable to the tax rate increase for the purpose of Maintenance and Operation.
        PROPOSED TAX RATE                          $0.730000 per $100
        PRECEDING YEAR'S TAX RATE           $0.750000 per $100
        EFFECTIVE TAX RATE                           $0.711288 per $100
        ROLLBACK TAX RATE                            $0.733239 per $100
The effective tax rate is the total tax rate needed to raise the same amount of property tax revenue for CITY OF CADDO MILLS from the same properties in both the 2016 tax year and the 2017 tax year.
The rollback tax rate is the highest tax rate that CITY OF CADDO MILLS may adopt before voters are entitled to petition for an election to limit the rate that may be approved to the rollback rate.

The City of Caddo Mills will be closed Tuesday 7-4-17, for Independence Day. Recycling and trash pickup will run a day late that week. Recycling will run on Thursday, 7-6-17 and trash will run on Saturday, 7-8-17. Fireworks are illegal inside the city limits. Report offenders to the Hunt County Sheriff's office at 903-453-6838. The City wishes everyone a great, safe 4th of July holiday!

The City will begin spraying for mosquitoes June 1, 2017. The truck with the sprayer will spray on Thursday nights after 9:00 p.m. If possible, stay inside and keep pets inside or away from the mist while the sprayer is active. Spraying will continue as long as necessary which can be through September or October, depending on weather temperatures and rainfall. The City asks that you help in controlling mosquitoes by ridding your property of standing water or using mosquito dunks in stagnant ponds. If you have any questions, call City Hall at 903-527-3116, Monday thru Thursday, between 7:00 am and 6:00 p.m. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

The City of Caddo Mills will be closed Monday, 5-29-17, for Memorial Day. Trash pickup will run as scheduled. There will be no delay until Saturday. Fireworks are illegal inside the city limits. Report offenders to the Hunt County Sheriff's office at 903-453-6838. The City commemorates our fallen soldiers and thanks them for their service and ultimate sacrifice. Everyone please have a safe holiday.
