NOTICE:  The burn ban has been lifted as of late in the afternoon on 8-14-18.     It is asked that you proceed with caution when burning. Thank you for your cooperation and safety.


NOTICE:  A 90 day burn ban has been put in effect for Hunt County. Therefore, since the City of Caddo Mills follows their guidelines, no outdoor burning is permitted inside the city limits. The ban does NOT prohibit outdoor cooking in an enclosed apparatus designed for cooking, such as a grill. All previously issued burn permits are voided.

A violation can result in a fine of up to $500 per each occurrence and if the illegal burn causes damage to another person's property, the incident will be investigated as arson.

To report an illegal burn, contact City Hall at 903-527-3116, Monday thru Thursday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. or the Fire Marshall's office at 903-408-4282. After hours, call 911.


The City has received numerous inquiries regarding the traffic light at Hwy 66 and FM 36 (Gilmer St) and when it will be operational. This issue is and has been in the hands of TxDOT and Garland, Dallas and Northeastern Railroad. The City regularly calls TxDOT to get updates. It is the City's hope that the light will be working well before school commences but has no control over that happening. NOTICE:  The city will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Wednesday, 7-4-18. City hall will reopen on Thursday, 7-5-18 at 7:00 a.m. If you have an after hours water/sewer emergency, call the pager at 903-621-8748, when you hear the tone, put in your call back phone number and press # sign. Someone will return your call. For after hours police/fire emergencies, call 911. FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED. To report violators, call the sheriff's office at 903-453-6838 and have an officer dispatched. 



NOTICE:  The city will begin spraying for mosquitoes on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. and continue on each Thursday night as long as deemed necessary. It is recommended that you stay inside while the fogger is going around. The City requests your cooperation in ridding your property of any standing water and using mosquito dunks in ditches with standing water.
